Meet up in Pampeago along the Respirart's Path

See the brochure >>

The artist Marco Nones from Cavalese will be baptising the new land art project, “RespirArt - Pampeago Green Gallery”, in July. The route will be starting nearby Baita Caserina and stretching from the “Val de la Pigna” to locality “I pozzi”, for about 800 metres of length. Some mysterious works of art, made of branches, stones and wool, will take by surprise all hikers walking towards Monte Cornon.

The summer exhibition is intended to enhance the wild beauty of mountain landscapes and will be open to visitors throughout the summer, until autumn.

The land artist from Cavalese, who also created the “Dna Sella” piece for the Arte Sella open air exhibition in summer 2010, is going to make about 8-10 new land art works along the panoramic route which faces the Latemar mountains, just by moulding and combining branches, stones and wool.

Land art is an art movement which aims to bring the works of art out of galleries and museums, in order to transform natural open spaces directly. It represents a privileged opportunity of communicating with nature, by receiving and moulding its gifts. Unexpected geometries, odd chromatic tricks, chaotic shapes or new harmonic forms will be arising in utmost simplicity.

Adding these works of art into nature’s lifecycle provides fertile ground for reflection and helps developing consciousness about how vain are human attempts to hold on to things, thoughts, people or situations in an everchanging world.

Following this spirit, art creations are photographed and then left behind in the woods, on the meadows and along the river, to be changed and moulded day after day under natural conditions.

From this summer onwards, the “RespirArt” permanent exhibition will be inviting to Val di Fiemme renowned land artists who are going to create new pieces, inspired to mountain landscapes and nature.

The “RespirArt - Pampeago Green Gallery” route will also be hosting summer land art workshops, where participants will be encouraged to set their creativity free in the open air.
