Ski Center Latemar: News winter 2022/2023
Ski Center Latemar is the largest ski area in the Val di Fiemme-Obereggen area. Together with the other ski areas it offers 120 km of snow-covered slopes in the Dolomites of Trentino Alto Adige with a single ski pass. Technology, art and design in one of the most beautiful ski resorts for a ski holiday.
NEW CAMPANIL 6-SEATER CHAIRLIFT AND “CAMPANIL 2” SLOPE
6-seater chairlift produced by Doppelmayr. Centrally located at the Ski Center Latemar, the new facility, about 500 meters long, will travel at a speed of 5 meters per second, for a duration of 1 ‘and 40 “, with an hourly capacity of 2,650 people. The new padded chairs will be equipped with central rests to ensure complete tranquility even for the little ones. The direct winch without reducer guarantees low noise and vibrations, improving energy efficiency and avoiding the use of lubricating oils. The new valley and mountain stations will be characterized by modern, essential and elegant structures.
The investment is completed by a new blue slope, the “Campanil 2”. Fully equipped with a programmed snow-making system, it will be a complementary to the chairlift, ideal for those new skiers who, after having passed the “Campo Scuola” level, want to engage in a more convincing track independently or accompanied by the ski instructors of the area.
NEW PANORAMIC RESTAURANT “IN.TRESKA”
Spectacular context, modern and charming architecture and furnishings, common goal: tradition meets innovation and simplicity in the kitchen. At the arrival of the Tresca chairlift, in Pampeago in the heart of the Latemar Ski Center, Alberto and Ketty, André and Dario will pursue their goal in the new panoramic restaurant In.Treska at 2,200 meters above sea level.
Alberto and Ketty, thirty years of experience in the management of high mountain huts, passing among the most famous on the Catinaccio group at the San Pellegrino pass, arriving at the Feudo Pass, made one of the most important refuges in the entire Ski Center Latemar area. Father and son, André in the kitchen, thanks to his 40 years as Chef and Dario in the dining room / bar thanks to the different jobs carried out in the restaurant sector, with great passion and compatibility they will manage the restaurant together with Alberto and Ketty.
NEW “ZANGGEN II” SLOPE
Another new intervention for winter 2022-23 is the construction of the “Zanggen II” slope on the route of the old 4-seater Reiterjoch chairlift replaced in 2019 by the 8-seater chairlift of the same name. The new “Zanggen II” slope (Track Nr. 9a) has a height difference of 160 meters, length 700 meters, average width of 30 meters, average gradient of 30 percent with peaks of 44 percent. Goal of the new variant: provide a further possibility for enthusiasts to enjoy a new slope and, at the same time, allow young agonists, given the characteristics of the “Zanggen II”, to carry out demanding workouts.
