New Latemar cable car in Pampeago!
Big news for the 2025/2026 winter season: the new 10-seater Latemar cable car is coming to Pampeago!
This modern lift will replace the historic Latemar chair lift, which had been in operation since 1988. Built by Doppelmayr, the new cable car will cover a distance of 1,085 meters, connecting the valley station (1,760 m) with the mountain station (2,015 m), overcoming a vertical drop of 255 meters. Thanks to a speed of 5 m/s, the ride will take just 4 minutes!
With a transport capacity of up to 2,700 people per hour, reaching the slopes will be easier and faster than ever—so you can make the most of your snowy days in the Latemar Dolomites!
the new Absam Stube is opening in Obereggen
Exciting changes coming to Obereggen for the 2025/2026 winter season: the historic Absam Stube gets a fresh new look!
Located at 1,732 meters near the valley station of the Absam-Maierl chair lift, the new Absam Stube has been redesigned by architect Felix Pardeller to blend alpine tradition with contemporary style. Wood, the hallmark of mountain huts, is now dressed in black, while decorative details play with vibrant colors and modern graphics inspired by vintage ski posters. Inside, you’ll find snowboards turned into swings, sticker-covered walls where you can leave your mark, and ultra-colorful restrooms. The real highlight? The panoramic terrace! Furnished with cozy sofas, red cushions, and checkered stools, it’s the perfect spot to relax between runs and take in the breathtaking views of the Latemar World Heritage site. Whether you’re here to ski, sled, or simply enjoy the mountains, the new Absam Stube awaits with a truly unique atmosphere!
